Autumn Term 2 Clubs Information
During the half-term holiday, planned maintenance work to our school field will be taking place. As a result, access to the field will be restricted for the week beginning Tuesday 4th to Friday 7th November to allow the newly-seeded grass to grow.
Therefore, the following clubs will now not be able to take place during the first week back after half-term:
- Tuesday 4th November: Cross Country Club Y3-6 at 7.50am
- Thursday 6th November: Andy Tucker Football Y2-6 at 3.15pm
(Andy Tucker Football will be in contact with parents of the children who attend the club to discuss the options of either a refund on the sessions or a re-scheduled session)
We have managed to relocate the following clubs to the upper playground so they will still go ahead as planned:
- Tuesday 4th November: Cycle Stars Y3-6 at 3.20pm
- Wednesday 5th November: School Sports Gloucestershire Tag Rugby Club Y1-2 at 3.15pm
Finally, the teacher led Y4/5 Tag Rugby and Y5/6 Netball clubs (both Tuesday 4th November) will not be running on the school site as usual due to off site fixtures taking place in the first week back. The parents of those children involved in these fixtures will be contacted with further details.

My Plan Reviews
Thank you to those parents who have confirmed their attendance at our termly My Plan Review meetings. These meetings are specifically for parents of pupils with additional needs. They will take place during the first week back after half-term.
Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal 2025
We will once again be supporting the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal. From Tuesday 4th November, during the school day, children will have the opportunity to purchase poppies and a selection of small commemorative items.
Poppies will be available for a donation of your choice, while other merchandise will be priced at £1.00 each. Our Charity Ministry will be visiting classrooms after lunch each day during the first week back. If your child would like to take part, please ensure they bring coins only, as no change will be available.
Thank you for helping us support this important cause and for encouraging thoughtful remembrance within our school community.

Children in Need 2025
On Friday 14th November, children are invited to join us in an optional non-uniform day to raise money for Children In Need. Children who would like to take part are welcome to come to school wearing colourful clothes, donations will once again be via ParentPay (link to be sent out separately after half term)
Charity Ministry Pudsey Competition
Our Charity Ministry would like to invite all pupils to take part in their ‘Design A Pudsey Competition’. The challenge is to draw, paint or colour in your very own Pudsey Bear. Please be as creative as you like with the colours and decorations. Anyone who wishes to enter the competition will be asked to donate an extra 50p via the ParentPay link when it is available, and to hand their entries to their class teacher by Monday 10th November. Please ensure all entries are clearly labelled with first name, last name and class. Maximum size A4.

Tempest Photographers
Tempest Photographers will be in school on 13th November 2025 to take individual and sibling group photographs. We will share the necessary link for you to view the photographs as soon as this is available.
FOLPS Update
School Disco – Thursday 20th November
Get those dancing feet ready for the ever-popular school discos! The timings for each year group will be as follows:
- 3:30-4pm: Reception (children will get ready with their class and head straight to the School Hall with their teachers)
- 4-4:30pm: Year 1
- 4:30-5pm: Year 2
- 5-5:45pm: Years 3/4
- 6-6:45pm: Years 5/6
Suggested donation is £3 per child, which can be paid by cash or card on the door. FoLPS will collect payment from Reception parents as children are collected, and all other years as they come into the disco. Entrance to the disco is from the School Hall door in the staff car park. Collection after each disco will be via the playground, accessed via the gate behind the School Hall in the staff car park.
Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing those fabulous dance moves!
Christmas Jumper and Nativity Costume Market – Friday 21st November
After the success of last year’s event, FoLPS will be holding another Christmas Jumper and Nativity Costume Market on Friday 21st November. Donate any outgrown Christmas jumpers and nativity costumes at the morning drop off in the Conference Room – then after school in the playground come and buy your replacements! Suggested minimum donation £2, cash or card accepted. The sale is two weeks before the Year 1 nativity dress rehearsal so hopefully good timing to help parents save some cash and the environment! Please note that unfortunately we can only accept costumes which are certified as fire safe.
FoLPS Party Pack
Did you know that FoLPS has two party packs available for hire? Each contains 36 place settings and costs £10 to rent out, £5 of which is returned to you if you bring back the pack clean and ready for the next party! Cheaper and more environmentally friendly than buying disposable ones. Enquire at the School Shop or drop us an email to chair@folps.com
