Transition Arrangements

As we are now just six weeks away from the end of the academic year, final arrangements are being made for the pupils’ transitions to their next classes. We will write to parents later this month with further information, including who each child’s next class teacher will be and we will provide details about when transition morning will happen for pupils to spend some time with their next teacher.

As previously published, we have an informal open evening on Wednesday 8th July 4.00pm – 5.15pm. This event provides current parents with an opportunity to come along and meet their child’s new teacher, talk to the child’s current teacher, and see some of the children’s work showcased.

Remaining club dates for this term

Week commencing 8th June 2026                             External and Teacher Led Clubs running (no clubs on 11th June 2026 due to school discos)

Week commencing 29th June 2026                           External and Teacher Led Clubs

As previously published, there will be no external clubs or teacher-led clubs running in the final two weeks of the academic year to allow time and space for end of year events and performances.

Meeting for current Reception Parents

On Thursday 19th June at 2.30pm, Mrs Greed (EYFS and KS1 Lead) will be holding a parent meeting in the school hall to inform parents about the transition from EYFS to Year 1. We will be discussing school routines, the National Curriculum, drop off and pick up routines and how children are supported through this transition. Please arrive at the hall doors in the school park just before 2.30pm.

We hope to see many of you there,

Kind regards,

Mrs Greed

My Plan Review meetings for parents

Each term, parents of pupils with additional needs are invited to attend a meeting with their child’s class teacher to review their My Plan. This term, these meetings are scheduled to take place in the last week of June and the first week of July. Appointments will be sent out by Mrs Pinless shortly. We thank you for your continued support with these valuable meetings.

Summer Activity Bags for CCP

Next week, a pupil in Poplar class is inviting families to donate summer activities to a local charity, Caring for Communities and People (CCP). The supplies which CCP are in need of are:

  • Sketching and Colouring Books
  • Reading and Learning Books
  • Puzzles or Games
  • Art Supplies
  • Sporting Equipment

As these resources will be gifted to families, please only send in things which are new or in excellent condition. The pupil will visit each classroom next week, each morning, to collect any donations. Thank you so much for your support.
